Taking over a global IT infrastructure after a previous administrator's departure.

Background

Cycling Without Age is a Danish-founded global movement with affiliates in dozens of countries. Over time, the international organisation had accumulated a complex IT footprint: Google Workspace with many users, a Zendesk support setup, Looker Studio dashboards, and a broad portfolio of country domains administered across several different registrars.

When the previous administrator stepped away, the organisation was left with infrastructure no one internally had a full view of.

Brief

Take over technical ownership, establish a clear picture of what existed, regain control of domains and systems, and carry out a forensic investigation of prior administrator activity for the leadership team.

Approach

Systematic review of Google Workspace administration and access rights. Configuration and re-configuration of SPF, DKIM, and DMARC across country domains — including cyclingwithoutage.org.au, cyclingwithoutage.sg, and others — via GoDaddy and Simply.com. Handover of the Book2Go platform (Zendesk, Looker Studio, domains) with accompanying service agreements and authorisation documents. Forensic investigation of the former administrator’s Google Workspace activity, delivered as a PDF report to the director.

Outcome

The organisation now has a single point of contact for technical administration, a documented infrastructure, and email authentication that protects its domains against spoofing.
