Background

Insurance and pensions is a domain where data is in constant motion, and where the requirements for security, traceability, and correct handling are high. Many different stakeholders need to work with the same material, each from their own angle, without integrity being compromised.

It calls for a platform that is strict in enforcing access and business rules — and at the same time flexible enough to support how the work actually gets done.

The platform

The platform administers insurance policies and pension schemes across hundreds of companies and thousands of employees. It delivers full oversight — who is covered by what, which documents belong to each scheme, and what changes have been made over time.

Designed with an emphasis on correctness, traceability, and predictable behaviour in daily operation. The foundation combines a fine-grained access system, reusable data models across providers, and automated workflows around changes that require follow-up. Two brands run on the same platform, ensuring consistent quality and efficient ongoing development.

My role

Responsible for architecture, development, and operations across the platform’s entire lifetime — from the original foundation, through current production, and into the ongoing work on the next generation.

Outcome

In stable daily production since 2022. Carries business-critical processes for two brands and has been continuously developed in step with the business’s needs.
